Previously I have always stuck to gel, I found I had more control over using a brush than a felt tip, however I decided to switch it up after the eyeliner I thought to be my holy grail, kept transferring to my lid no matter how many different ways I both applied and set it (Keep it in mind that my eyelids can be oilier than the rest of my face at times also)
So I took to the shops to find a liquid liner which was worth a try, and after endless loops of the boots beauty counters I settled for the L'Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim. (Retails for £6.99)
The packaging is comfortable to use, there is a soft area to grip and hold whilst applying the product. The length of the product helps as you can switch up how you hold it for a more controlled, or more free look.
The nib of the pen itself is very thin, this helps with precision and being able to create a range of different looks; both with thick or thin lines. The thin and sleek nib also helps the product become more build-able, as you can add a little at a time until the quantity and thickness of the time is perfect for your style.
Finally, on application the product itself is very pigmented. The colour that leaves the tip of the pen is a true black and you shouldn't need to go over it to darken its shade. One tip with this product, as well as other liquid eye pens alike, always store them with the nib facing down or flat (at a push) otherwise they are fast to dry out. I found that unless I stored this product flat or tip facing down, the product began to dry up very fast.
Apart from that aspect, I would rate this product a 8/10 - this is because the longevity of the product is good, however after a long day it does begin to smudge out into the crease.

I love my liner too, girl after my own heart! I've tried various ones but not tried this one. It sounds promising and looks like it has a good nib for creating a perfect flick. Thanks for the great post xx

Haha tell me about it!! It took me some getting used to but it is definitely worth the attempt! Thank you for your feedback!

I tend to struggle with liners that have super thin tips like this one because I tend to loose control of my flicks, especially if the nib tends to move out of place when I'm doing my eyeliner but I may have to give it a go, I need a cheaper eyeliner because I don't have the money to keep buying my Benefit one atm:( x

It looked scary to me at first but honestly it's the best one I've used! The thin nib takes some getting used to don't get me wrong, but if you're persistent then you'll get some perfect flicks out of it I'm sure!!

Don't let it scare you! Haha, it was my first felt tip liner and although I had to find my level with it, it is definitely loyal to me now!

I've heard a few people mention how good this eyeliner is and you've made me want to try it even more! I always think a makeup look looks so much more 'put together' with eyeliner :) I love how much detail you've included in this review - I wish more bloggers wrote like this!

This product looks amazing, I love how thin the nib is! It's a shame that it dries up fast, I tend to get that a lot with my eyeliners xx

Storing it nib facing down in a pot is working better than on its side for me right now! Wouldn't want to risk it drying up all the time! It's honestly it's only downside!

I like a liner to be thin - that way you can wear thin liner or build it up to a dramatic wing! find it hard to use anything too thick
