Maybelline Master Sculpt Review // BeautieCollected

Let's talk contouring for all of five minutes (or however long this post ends up!). It can be so difficult to find a contour kit that has all the perfect shades for your skin tone. Sometimes the blush is too peachy or the highlight too yellow! It's fair to say we've all had our struggles...

I've been on the hunt for a good quality, yet affordable contour kit for a while and I think I've found one that really takes the cake! A few weeks ago I picked up the Maybelline Master Sculpt Contour Kit in the shade 02 Medium Dark. This product contains a contour shade and a highlight shade, as well as a mini brush and mirror underneath.

Packaging is a big thing for me, I don't like something too bulky but I don't want something so thin it breaks. The packaging of this product is just a good balance I think, especially considering you have a mirror and brush beneath the product. I don't use the brush included to blend the contour into my skin, however I do use it to help me place it in the right place because it's just the perfect thickness and you really cannot go wrong when using it as a guide!

The product itself is very pigmented, the contour more so than the highlight, but both have amazing colour pay-off for a drugstore product. I usually apply one or two swipes of the brush included onto the hollows of my cheeks and then blend it out, this seems to be a nice balance of product. The colouring of the contour shade also doesn't come across too orange when layered on the skin and blended.

It is so easy to blend both the contour and highlight shades as they have such a soft finish that they're very moveable on the skin. It's also very easy to over blend and the product doesn't show up the same, so be careful if you're trying to blend!!

Overall, this is definitely a winning product in my little beauty book! It leaves good definition and highlight to the face as well as leaving a bronzed glow, which can eliminate the use of even more products! If you're on the market for a contour kit which is affordable but does a brilliant job, or even if you're looking for a change definitely check this one out! It's a keeper!

If you've tried this, let me know your thoughts! Also, I'd love to hear your favourite contour kits and maybe I'll try some and do a comparison post!!

Until next time!

Etsy Planner Sticker Haul // BeautieCollected

Now I know this may appeal to some more than others but I've always been one to plan and be very particular. After discovering Plan with Me videos on the glorious site of YouTube, I haven't settled until I spent a ridiculous amount of money on supplies!

As well as actually buying my planner, I went straight to Etsy and browsed the wide variety of stickers and cute shops to try find things to make my planner just that bit cuter!

The first shop I came across was Kate Lauren Design - her shop is full of cute but functional stickers perfectly designed to make planning easy. She was so nice as to send me a few sample stickers. Her postage and is fast and she ships as soon as she has the stickers ready. On top of this the quality of her stickers is amazing and easy to place in your planner! The way she deals with customers is also lovely and I cannot fault her shop or manner at all! I definitely recommend having a look at her shop!

The second shop I hit up was OodlemaDoodles - I fell in love with this shop from the get go! The quality of these stickers in honestly insane! She offers both matte and glossy finishes to her stickers and both are brilliant to use. She was also lovely enough to send me a sheet of glossy glasses stickers which I will definitely be putting to good use! If you want to place an order at her shop, she has given me a coupon code to share with you all! At the checkout, enter coupon code NEWYEAR for 10% of your order (this is valid until the end of January)! She also sent me a little card in the package which was adorable so definitely go show her shop some love!

Finally I waltzed across EllenBeeMakes - she has some of the cutest designs ever!I picked up some medication tracker ones from her shop as I needed a way to remember what I'm doing! Her postage was very fast and she deals with her orders very well! I will definitely be ordering from her again in the future and recommend you have a look if you're ever passing!

L'Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim Review // BeautieCollected

If there is anything you should know about me, it's that I cannot do a makeup look without eyeliner! Pencil, liquid or gel - you name it and I'll use it. That being said, this makes eyeliner a big part of both my everyday routine and that for a more glam look. I feel like I've gone through so many different eyeliners that I have some sort of inkling on what's worth the money.

Previously I have always stuck to gel, I found I had more control over using a brush than a felt tip, however I decided to switch it up after the eyeliner I thought to be my holy grail, kept transferring to my lid no matter how many different ways I both applied and set it (Keep it in mind that my eyelids can be oilier than the rest of my face at times also)

So I took to the shops to find a liquid liner which was worth a try, and after endless loops of the boots beauty counters I settled for the L'Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim. (Retails for £6.99)

The packaging is comfortable to use, there is a soft area to grip and hold whilst applying the product. The length of the product helps as you can switch up how you hold it for a more controlled, or more free look.

The nib of the pen itself is very thin, this helps with precision and being able to create a range of different looks; both with thick or thin lines. The thin and sleek nib also helps the product become more build-able, as you can add a little at a time until the quantity and thickness of the time is perfect for your style.

Finally, on application the product itself is very pigmented. The colour that leaves the tip of the pen is a true black and you shouldn't need to go over it to darken its shade. One tip with this product, as well as other liquid eye pens alike, always store them with the nib facing down or flat (at a push) otherwise they are fast to dry out. I found that unless I stored this product flat or tip facing down, the product began to dry up very fast.

Apart from that aspect, I would rate this product a 8/10 - this is because the longevity of the product is good, however after a long day it does begin to smudge out into the crease.

I hope you liked this post and leave a comment letting me know your favourite eyeliners, of all types, and maybe I'll try a few out!

New Year Updates! // BeautieCollected

Oh doesn't this seem familiar?! Hello everyone, it has been a stupidly long time since I have posted - I've had college and work piling up and the last thing I was motivated to do was blog! I got to a point where sitting down and writing a post was more of a chore than an enjoyment, which for a hobby, is not what I wanted at all! I tucked my notepad away and just focussed on me and getting my new college course started the way I wanted.

Now around 6 months later, I couldn't be in a better place. College is going to plan and I feel so at home with my course and I've also learnt the art of balancing work, college and downtime - which is a big thing for me!

Now, down to business, as they say! I have realised I really miss blogging after having this break and the number of times I was tempted to pick up my laptop and write a quick post was insane! I've decided that for the new year I'd start fresh with a whole new slab of motivation and begin my blog ball rolling again!

If you were a reader before my disappearance then you may notice a change! I've had a banner revamp which makes me feel all that more motivated to post! Along with this all new appearance, I've also decided on a blogging schedule to keep me motivated and to eliminate the possibility of overloading myself! So to start off the year; I will have one post a week which will be uploaded at 9am on Sundays. This will help me be consistent with posting and make sure some content gets out to you guys! However, there is the possibility for there to be two posts a week! If there is to be a 2nd post, these will be uploaded on a Wednesday! Please DO NOT expect Wednesday posts as these will only be up as and when I'm able to!

The content will remain similar to before; beauty and lifestyle will all be a part of this blog! I am also going to be including planner posts which you can look out for if that interests you!!

I hope you're all as excited as I am for this change and for my blog to be back on it's feet! I hope to see you all back real soon and to stick through this journey with me!

Take Care
